Arpin Moving Co.

Do Not under any circumstances use this mover. They deliberately created chaos in my home.Then they went in for the kill when they put my boxes in my apartment. They stole the picture I had personally wrapped myself. I told them it was my pride and joy. Well they took that and my area rug. These guys are professionals at stealing your life’s most important family possessions; and the management could care less.

Horrible Service Would Not Recommend.

This company I would legitmately have to say was the worst company I have ever had to deal with! The mover pencil whipped in that my table top was spider-web cracked AFTER I signed and was given a carbon copy. I showed them my carbon copy that it was not cracked prior to shipment and they told me I was lying! I spoke with 2 supervisors Josie Sgagliarich and Rosemary Renos; they both were rude and told me I erased my copy that was written in pen. I will never work with this company and highly encourage others to reconsider them as a choice to move your household goods! I have never written a review for anything but I stayed up after a 12 hour night shift at the hospital to talk to them and they were absolutely rude, told me I was lying and so I stayed up just to write this review.  I urge everyone who reads this to never work with this company if you ever want to be compensated for broken items made by the movers!!

Hi Ashlee,

We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with our Claims process, but we cannot reimburse you for the damage since it was not caused by our moving crew. Documents show it was pre-existing damage before loading. You're more than welcome to re-submit your claim through the military as we'll be happy to cooperate and provide whatever is asked of us.

Josie and Rosemary have been very professional during this matter and have only told you what we can and can't do. We hope that you can understand our decision.

Sincerely,

Arpin Van Lines.

I realize they have bad reviews.

This was a military move. I was so worried my husband set up the movers and didn't look at reviews. I saw the reviews and started freaking out. But they got there on time. Loaded everything very fast and very good. Were professional, and very nice. He showed up with my stuff two days ahead of schedule which was awesome! Nothing stolen and nothing broken. I'm very happy with my experience with arpin and would recommend them.

Hi Mariah,

Thank you for the awesome review! Glad we could help put you at ease. If you ever need anything else, please let us know!

Stay Away From This Company.

We had losses and damages during our move, and I have contacted the offices of the owners, and have not had any response.  The customer is not their main concern.  Customer is not high on their list.  Once they have the job and the money, they are not concerned about the rest.  I have not seen such poor customer service in my life.  In their eyes, the customer is definitely not right.
It is a shame that companies actually operate this way.  They state that they will be with you every step of the way, but their step stops when they cash your check.  At that point, if you are lucky enough to get someone from customer service to contact you, it will be by an email.  They cannot call you and acutally speak to you about your experiences.  The owners will not call you back either.

Do not use arpin van lines.

Arpin lost over $700 of my belongings then denied liability because my goods were delivered to a storage facility. They never informed that they would deny liability because I had my goods delivered to a storage facility. They have refused to respond to my repeated inquiries for proof that this limit to their liability was stated in my contract. They are unprofessional and have demonstrated complete ignorance in my dealings with them. Do not use arpin van lines.

Moving.

WORST COMPANY OUT THERE! DO NOT USE THEM IF U EVER WANT TO SEE YOUR STUFF AGAIN! I would give them no stars if I could! Had the worst moving experience ever, and I have moved at least 5 to 6 times.  The truck had a huge hole in it, and water ruined most of my items. There was 3" of water in lots of my bins, my clothes, furniture, and mattresses, were all wet and gross. No rhyme or reason to their packing method either. Things from the garage were thrown in with things from the kitchen. Which brings me to their ridiculous inventory sheets, that they supposedly write everything on! Total BS! I was missing numerous items, like a brand new 350 dollar  scooter, they claimed was not on the inventory list, which we watched go on the truck! I asked them to check the warehouse, they would not. Told me I was lying!  Oh, and they will deliver your stuff to u when they feel like it. Never mind when u need it! Don't give them a date, u won't get it then, as u will read in many reviews. We had to wait an extra week, because they didn't have a driver. Oh, did I mention that I needed to be out of that apartment then? MY large mirrors were all broken, because they were wrapped with paper. Did they ever hear of bubble wrap?? For a 20,000 $ plus move, I think they could have sprung for it! All the frames on my oil paintings were chipped 2, because again wrapped in paper. Clothes were thrown on the bottom of wardrobe boxes along with the dog bed, pillows, etc, all on top of my clothes which sat for 6 months like that in storage.       Heavy boxes were put on top of my furniture and caused it to bow in the middle. Their "furniture specialist", they sent out to my home,  said it was warped, and they were not responsible for it. Just what are they responsible for? Oh, forgot to mention that they dropped it out in the street 2! All my painted furniture peeled due to condensation from all the water in the truck. Again, they are not responsible for that either. I especially loved when they took the tape off my leather couch, and ripped off half the leather, then tried to wipe it off with a cloth, and acted like nothing happened. Upon delivery , my brand new hardwood floors were all scratched, walls chipped, and I overheard complaints about moving a dresser twice. Not 2 stressful, right. Claims is a nightmare. Went back and forth for 6 months to get barely anything for all the damage we incurred. That is when we finally got a response from them. They do this on purpose, so u will just give up. I could go on, but I think u get my point by now! RUN RUN AS FAST AS U CAN FROM ARPIN MOVERS!  .

Official company response

Hi Debbie,

We're sorry to hear about the frustration this has caused you and your family. The reason we were unable to give you the full amount of your claim was because you repaired things prior to inspection. We could only commit to what we saw was damaged and you were fully reimbursed for those items. Also, if an item wasn't originally on our inventory sheet, we cannot reimburse you in the event of damages. Nonetheless, we apologize for the damages that were incurred and we hope that you're now fully settled into your new home.

Sincerely,
Arpin Van Lines.

The Worst Moving Company in The Business.

I have been a military spouse for 20 years. I have moved all over the world and have very realistc expectations when it comes to a move. Arpin Van lines is by far the worst company that we have ever dealt with and that's saying something!!  It was a horrific experience from beginning to end. Things were stolen, damaged, and they had a flagrant disregard for upholding their end of the agreement. The packers were unprepared and didn't not bring enough help so they went and got some local friends to help pack. They kept asking us if we were taking certain things with us and if we weren't, if they could have the item. We caught them going through our prescription medications and private documents ( they quickly stopped as soon as I entered the room). The driver had a huge temper tantrum and used all kinds of obscenities in the hearing of my children and neighbors. The packers left their drinks and cigarette butts all over the house, garage, and yard. They showed up for delivery 5 days earlier than discussed. We jumped through hoops to accommodate their schedule including moving up the closing date of our home and rearranging our travel plans which cost us an extra 280.00.  They refused to unpack our shipment which they were supposed to do and paid to do. They reassemble things incorrectly and damaged an antique dresser in the process and tried to hide the fact that they damaged it. As I've said, I know what to expect in a move. I expect a certain amount of frustration, damage, etc.. This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review on a company. I just hope my review helps someone avoid the headache I've experienced with this moving company. Bottom Line : TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

Hi Jenna,

Worst Experience Possible.

I signed a contract and had all my belongings picked up from Tampa, FL on 6/17/13 for delivery to Chantilly, VA by 7/5 absolute latest (this is all in writing). I called Arpin on 7/3 to see if they were on schedule - I was told my things had been bumped from the truck due to weight requirements. My dad called, asked to speak to a manager,  and was told there was no manager and was given a different story that the truck from Tampa had broken down. I was then told my things would be delivered on 7/9 and Danielle said the driver would call me - I waited at my house ALL DAY and finally called at 3pm to inquire about delivery and was told that the truck hadn't even left Tampa! And no one called or emailed! I was then, again told on 7/10 that the truck was "leaving the warehouse" and that Danielle in Clearwater, FL was "watching it leave". It's now 7/13 and I'm being told they can't guarantee anything and "maybe your things will be delivered by 7/18." I have called the corporate offices who said they would call the office in Tampa and nothing has happened! This lack of communication and customer service is absolutely unacceptable! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company - you have zero respect for your customers, their belongings or their schedules. I've contacted the BBB and written posts anywhere I can about your deplorable service - because no one should have to go through this.

Speechless Regarding this Move.

Still in a state of shock regarding this company.  Words do not even begin to describe they way we were treated.  But to destroy our personal house hold items that have been in the family for years is so sad.  I have move many times and never have I had so much damage.  Even the move to Hawaii and back did not have the damage this move caused.  Arpin Van lines does not care.  They tossed your furniture around.  What is interesting is I packed most of my personal belonginhg.  Old dishes, old picture frames, lots of kitchen dishes and not one of these items was broke.  All the items broke, tore-up were by Arpin. Here is a partial list!! Antique radio – internal components separated, wood chipped and dented multiple locations, mesh ripped, frame around mesh cracked. Flower pot – broken and silk flowers damaged.  Was wrapped well? Small Desk chipped pieces missing. Secretary desk – internal, fixed shelves separated completely; loose nails showing. White night stand damaged along the side, broken corner. Missing knob to drawer?  Missing screws. Boxes smashed and spilt open from being tossed around. Bicycle taken apart, basket removed, seat off Top of outdoor umbrella broken Sofa table scuffed.  Was told it was that way when shipped.  Not a big deal use furniture polish on it. Curio cabinet –Glass door completely broken off.   Antique gate leg table refinished two years ago.  new scratches White Queen metal head board never moved, has three deep scratches.  Completely down to the metal.  Only two years old.  Duck tape to boxes? All items I packed in good condition.  Furniture is banged- up, scratched and damaged.  Why would the movers damage the items?  What are we paying for?   Items appear to be snooped through.  Bakers rack has a broken drawer.  Sits inside the rack!  Not sure how this could get broke unless tossed around. Not properly packed by Arpin and TLC movers. Honeywell fan the pedestal stand broken. Hunter air purifier the control component broke.   Makes strange noises. Again all the old dishes I packed arrived unbroken.  Amazed considering how the furniture was damaged.    My items were moved  5 times.  Please ask how many time your items will be moved.  From the house to a warehouse until the Arpin Van line truck.  Then tossed in the truck, then unloaded to another Company who tossed and finished breaking your stuff.  Then delivered to your home in a rude, condensending manner.  .

Long-distance move from Kentucky to Maryland

Still waiting.

This is the biggest joke. Arpin was contracted to move my family to our next duty station. The week before our scheduled pack out, 2-3 June, we received confirmation that everything was good to go. Yet, on 2 June, we were informed that no packers were actually scheduled. They tried to reschedule for the 5th, which was our last day of our lease. After explaining that we had to clear our house on the 5th, they again attempted to reschedule for the 5th. The base transportation office had to find another company to pack up our entire house and pick up our hhg in one day (4 June). We rushed to our new duty station so that we would have a place by the delivery date 16 june).
It is now 17 June, and our things are still sitting in Kentucky. I was told today to not expect our goods before the 24th.
We have two small children with health issues, an empty house, a suitcase, and no idea when to expect our stuff. Thank you Arpin, for making this the worst moving experience in my 17 years of military service. Please stop taking contracts that you are incapable of fulfilling.

Long-distance move from Connecticut to California

First Military PCS Relocation.

This was my first military relocation as a spouse. Arpin was assigned to our move by the DOD. After reading the reviews before the move, I was terrified! The driver showed up on time and was very friendly. I first addressed with him that Arpin had terrible reviews and I was very uneasy about the loss or damage to my items. He assured me that in the 20 years he's been a driver, he's never lost a box and that I had nothing to worry about, but continued to say that agency wide there are over 300 different drivers. My belongings were picked up on 4/18 in Connecticut and delivered last night 5/5 in California.  The driver provided me with a contact number to which he answered every time I called (which was twice a week looking for status updates). Everything I shipped showed up exactly as it was sent and packaged.  No items were missing or damaged. Overall, I suppose it was the luck of the draw.  For our next PCS I would definitely use Arpin, provided Steve was again my driver.

Long-distance move from Maryland to California

Moving with undisclosed charges.

Movers were polite and courteous. The move was on time. We were misinformed by the salesman of Geipe movers which subcontracted with Arpin. The weight was honest but we paid a total of an additional 1100 dollars due to the over sized truck that they used.  (It had a very big extended cab.) This was from an additional 550 dollars at pickup to move my goods to the moving truck via a smaller "shuttle" truck. Other movers  have been seen moving goods for other residents in our apartment complex directly on and off of a semi truck. We felt that we had no choice and we had to pay 550 dollars more at destination for the same reason. Our destination apartment is very easily reached by a straight shot from the connecting street. It was hard to believe that they needed a shuttle truck for this, even with their massive oversized truck. Regardless, we were misinformed by the salesman that we could avoid a shuttle fee on pickup as the salesman stated that their truck would fit.

Service cost: $5000

Official company response

Hi James,

We're very sorry to hear that this happened and we want you to know that the driver has been terminated.

When it comes to extra $1,100, was that collected by the driver? You should not have been charged anything for a shuttle. Please contact us at "socialmedia@arpin.com" so we can discuss this further.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Long-distance move from Oklahoma to California

Worst move ever.

I've been in the military for 14 years and been through 5 moves and never had a move like this. I'm currently going through the hassle of trying to get my items delivered to me. Packers came on the 20th of May and took my stuff on the 22nd. Today is the 9th of June and my stuff is still in the warehouse back in OK. Normally I wouldn't freak out but my husband is getting ready to return overseas and he returned to the states just to help me and my 2 kids move from OK to CA. So because Arpin doesn't have enought drivers to deliver my items, we will be left sleeping on a air mattress for God knows how long. Every time I call the customer service department the representative has been straight forward and bluntly told me she couldn't give me a date for delivery because they are swamped. So if you have an option.. Do not use this company.. Unless you want your stuff to be sitting somewhere for however long.

My move.

Good Evening,      I would have wrote to you earlier but I am still in the middle of getting my house in order.  I just wanted to say how pleased and satisfied I was with the move.  The office was checking on me and actually cared about how everything was going for me and my family.  The movers were extremely professional and kind.  I felt my property was in safe hands.  I would recommend this company to any military personnel and civilian.  I have moved so many times and never dealt with this kind of professionalism before.  I hope that when it is time for me to move again in the next 2 1/2 years I can get this company again. It is always nice to have your things come back to you all in one piece.  Thank you again for you awesome company.  .

Unbelievable.

I purchased the full amount of insurance available. Good thing, because they didn't prep my washing machine, so of course it didn't function upon delivery. Though I have a document signed by the delivery driver stating that it was not properly prepared, these people had the audacity to send a letter saying my claim was denied because there was no evidence of mishandling or damage on transit..

Long story short, no matter how much insurance you purchase or how much evidence you have that they are at fault, they will send you an offensively small check because it will cost you an additional $300 to dispute it with an external organization.

Military Move.

This company is horrible.  In the 26 years I've moved with the military, including 3 times overseas, I've never had the experience I had with this company.  The company they had to pack my household goods packed expensive flower centerpieces in boxes with kitchen utensils which damage them and forced items in boxes.  They did not or poorly wrapped bedroom furniture and my furniture turned up broken, chipped and with dings in it.  Not to mention that they told me they would deliver my furniture on a certain day and a week later call me the day prior to tell me they could not deliver my items because they "did not have a large enough truck".  I insisted that they would deliver my household goods when they said they would and they said they would be there with "half" delivery and after 1100 in the morning the day of the delivery, still had not arrived with the "half" delivery.  I called the company and told them I was leaving and going to work and they could delivery it whenever, so they called the delivery guys who showed up less than 10 minutes later with fast food bags in their hands, mad.  They were so unprofessional and made such a mess until I got frustrated and told them to leave after they had brought everything in the residence.  They company refused to pay for all of the damaged items and instead of going back and forth with them I just accepted whatever and made up my mind that they would never put their hands on anything I own ever again.  And, I will ensure to let other military members know to avoid this company at all cost.  They are horrible and very unprofessional in my view.

Long-distance move from Wisconsin to Illinois

Broken items, broken promises.

I've hired Arpin twice, once in 2010 when we moved from Los Angeles to Madison, WI and the second time in 2014 when we moved from Madison to near Champaign, IL. The first move was pretty smooth, there was some damage but we worked it out. On the second move they destroyed (broke beyond repair) a pair of loudspeakers and a large credenza. The worst part of the experience was that the driver/foreman told us the items were damaged. He took photos with his phone and "documented" the damage, which made us feel better. As if we would be covered. When we filed a claim to get the items repaired/replaced - Arpin refused to contact the driver. After I sent his contact information to the claims adjuster, they wouldn't tell me their findings. They have dug in their heels and refused to adequately compensate us for the damaged items (they've offered is 30% of the claim amount). They were rude, insulting and dismissive in my conversations. The claims adjuster even blamed us for the damage. We paid them $6,000 for the move and now have repair/replacement bills exceeding $3,500.I contacted their customer service and have tried every avenue to reach an agreement but they refuse to work with me. I filled out a complaint with the BBB, the D.O.T. and I will make sure that I use my voice to tell anyone who will listen NOT to use Arpin.Arpin is dishonest and unprofessional.Arpin lied to us, violated their contract and won't work towards a solution.Arpin won't stand by their word and don't honor their commitments.Arpin won't fix what they break or right their wrongs.Arpin lied to us in order to deny damages claims, even ones their agents admit was their wrongdoing. Do yourself a favor and use a different moving company. I promise you will regret using Arpin.

Worst move everrrrrrrr.

Where do I begin.. It took 2 weeks the get a quote they are currently 3 days late and my pregnant wife and I will have to sleep on a blow up mattress with a suit case until they arrive. They have no care or understanding for your needs. You are essentially paying them to book other jobs along the way. I'm fine if your late just tell me when you are coming. They couldn't even do that. This is not 1970 where there are no cell phones and there is no gps. These people should just sto doing business and make the world a better place.

Long-distance move from Peoria, IL to New York, NY

Terrible.

This company is the worst. There is a reason there are so many terrible reviews on almost every major review site. They gave us a 2 week window and then were a week late beyond that. When they finally arrived much of our property was damaged, which was not surprising after I watched the way they handled our belongings. Nothing was wrapped in any kind of protective padding. I watched them set our couch down sideways directly on a dirty New York City sidewalk. Our dining room table had multiple chips and scratches. Many items were damaged and whole boxes missing. The bill was over $2000 more than the “estimate.” I submitted a request to the claims department for compensation for all the damage they did. Every single claim was denied with explanations that made no sense. Throughout the whole process we had one contact person who was really difficult to get ahold of and often would not even return our calls. These people are true crooks. Avoid this company at all costs.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6000

Official company response

Hi Zach,

We're sorry to hear that you're still unsatisfied from your move that took place in 2015. We apologize for being late, but our records show that it was two days and not a week. Your paperwork shows 8/3/15 as the last day of your delivery spread and your shipment was delivered on 8/5/15.

As far as the damages, our Claims department sent you a detailed description of each item and why they were denied, ranging from pre-existing damage to items not being notated as damaged upon delivery. The department did not receive a response from you regarding further consideration.

As for the price increase, your actual weight was higher than your estimated weight, which would explain the increase.

Sincerely,

Long-distance move from Oak Harbor, WA to Enid, OK

Stolen Property.

We contracted ARPIN Van lines to move our house from Washington State to Oklahoma State in December 2017. When packing up the house there were valuable items left in the garage for pick up, including brand new toys, classic car parts, fans, etc. I packed up the kitchen myself but one of the boxes were full of control substances such as Zyprexa that were prescribed to my husband. ARPIN used Golden Services as a third party mover. All of these items including the prescriptions were stolen from us. When we made a claim we were told that since the items were not on the inventory there was nothing that could be done. I tried disputing the decision but they never called me and denied the dispute as well. The movers never added the items that were taken from the garage to the inventory so we did not know the items were stolen until we unpacked our boxes. Another item stolen was a keyboard. This item was on the inventory list and when our belongings were brought to our new home, the driver was informed that the keyboard was missing. We were told to take it up with corporate. Even that item was denied on our claim.

Not only were we stolen from but the furniture that did come was damaged including our sofa, dining room set and bedroom set. We paid for our furniture to reassembled and the movers did not do that either. Also we were quoted that the move would only take a week. It took to two weeks.

The most concerning issue here is the stolen prescriptions. That shows a huge problem with the employees this company uses if prescription drugs are stolen.

During the claims process the person handling our case was Carolann. She did not return calls and was very hard to talk to and did not listen to our complaints. I have filed a police report and will be taking other steps. Do not use this company they will steal from you and then blame you for it.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5374

Official company response

We’re very sorry to learn that you are not satisfied regarding your move with us. A review of your signed and dated shipment paperwork indicates our mutually agreed upon delivery dates were December 25, 2017 through January 2, 2018. Actual delivery was December 30th. Regarding your claim, we additionally find in a re-review that the decision of Movers Settlement Group is valid. There were no written exceptions taken by you either at origin or at delivery referencing any missing or damaged items from the shipment inventory.

We did advise you that, if you felt items were stolen, you should file a police report. There is also a federally mandated arbitration program available to you should you not agree with our position taken. An Arbitration Brochure was included with the letter dated February 26, 2018 to you.

We sincerely wish you success in your new home.

Long-distance move from New York to Florida

Move.

We hired this company to do a move from the Albany area to Florida for our daughter.  The pickup was very professional and they made a detailed checklist of her items, which was supposed to be reviewed when her items were delivered for accuracy.   It took 3 weeks for her items to come and when the driver arrived he was drunk, verbally abusive, intimidating and many of her items were extensively damaged.   They demanded payment up front knowing items were damaged and intimidated her into signing the paperwork before she saw that her items were damaged. When she went outside after they arrived and they opened the truck her items were tossed all around in the truck.  They were not properly secured.  She then witnessed them throw some of her items from their truck.  She was paying in cash and they were refusing to give her a receipt.  They never provided the checklist of her items they promised to ensure that all of her boxes were delivered.  She is a young girl and was extremely scared and upset. They then refused to leave the apartment and tried to intimidate her further.  She ended up having to call the police on the driver!  We definitely do not recommend this company!  This was a horrible experience!

Official company response

Hi Bridgit,

We're sorry to hear that you are unhappy with this moving experience. When it comes to the checklist, we did give a copy at pick-up but we're unable to give ours since we need it for our records. As for any verbal altercations, we're currently looking into that matter with the driver and crew.

For any damages that occurred, we have been informed that you have spoken to the agent assigned to your move and the claims process is currently underway.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this valuable feedback.

Sincerely,
Arpin Van Lines.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Arkansas

Terrible in every way.

Move from Ohio to Arkansas.
Pros: none.
Cons:
- the moving coordinator was always unavailable or took a lot of time to respond;
- dates for packing and loading were scheduled before they asked us if it's OK with us;
- the packers were late (2hours) and then they took an hour and a half lunch break;
- the items were packed terrible (insecure, wrinkled);
- loaders were not careful, broke a shelf;
- delivery guys did not have the inventory sheet when started unloading and they got mad when we asked for it;
- they did not assemble a lot of the furniture - the beds didn't have the screws on and had we layed down we would've prob broken the bed;
- scratches on bed, furniture, TV;
- missing box;
- about 30 items that were broken (some souvenirs that are not replaceable);
- filed a claim 4-5 days ago and were supposed to have someone contact us (within 48 hours) to come check the damages ( a third party).

Service cost: $5000

Long-distance move from Florida to North Carolina

Where's the truck?

My mother-in-law hired Arpin to move from Florida to North Carolina. Told her it would be delivered the following week after pick-up. Now two weeks and still no truck. They told her today that the truck was on the way but had to turn around for repair. That is some coincidence that after two weeks the truck breaks down after her stuff is loaded. Now they say maybe in three more days the truck will arrive. .

International move from , GER to , TX

Unsatisfactory move.

I just moved back from Germany about three months ago.  During the time I lived there invested in furniture, grandfather clock, Bavarian china. Furniture arrives; 4 broken dining room chairs, broken grandfather clock, stolen items like china. Arpin was verfy defensive even defensive of the German movers who apparently were totally disrespectful of someone's property.   What is more disconcerting is that one of the officials was very eager to pass the buck when confronted on how they handled the move. The insurance adjustor very arrogant and downright vindictive and rude.  Arpin's adjustors are just in cahoots with them on irresponsibility. The adjustor they contract wanted to deal with the claim at their convenience and so did Arpin. Who's responsibility is it to get the furniture back ino one piece? I really do not think this company should be trusted nor their insurance adjustors. They are not responsible.  I am dissapointed in placing my valuables in a company who cannot be trusted.

Long-distance move from Florida to California

Horrible!

I will never use this company again and I will make sure to warn every military family I know to avoid this company at all costs. My husband and I just completed our first military move and we were assigned Arpin Van Lines to complete our move. The man who was contracted out through Arpin was the rudest, most condescending man I have ever met. I wouldn't trust this guy to ship my trash can.He came to the origin pick-up unprepared and completely unable to find the place. My mom was the point of contact at the pick-up site and the mover was very unprofessional and rude to her. There were two men moving that day and one of them had apparently worked the night before and he was completely useless. My mom ended up having to pack boxes and help them do their job.When our delivery was scheduled, the mover called that morning (unprepared again) and argued with my husband about whether or not our street address was a "Road" or "Drive." when we explained to him that as far as we knew it was "Road," he still argued that he couldn't find it. My husband then suggested that he could try "Drive" in his GPS and see if that will work. Instead of trying that he continued to argue with my husband. He finally found our house and then in a condescending rude tone he proceeds to tell us that he checked our street sign and that it is "Drive" and that we were wrong. I drove by the street sign later that day to check it out for myself and it is. Road! Put two and two together and this guy is just your regular class-act liar. To top it off, he had no respect for the military. He told my husband and I that he is used to moving "Higher-ranked" officials and that he barely makes any money moving lower-ranked officers like my husband. Thankfully, I have found only one item so far that is broken. But the way he handled this seemed more like a used car salesman making a deal rather than a businessman making something right. Long story short, never use Arpin Van Lines!
